The Fish Tank Mafia

I stood there with my jaw on the floor! “Wow” is all I could say! These guys are awesome! The Fish Tank Mafia is a band of guys (under the age of 21) from Asbury Park, NJ that play originals and covers. These guys are unbelievable. I am amazed at the talent in each one of the members in this band. Bill Schneider on lead vocals has a singing voice built for rock and roll. His voice sounds like a perfect mix of Geddy Lee (lead singer of Rush) and Rob Halford (lead singer of Judas Priest). Greg Roberts plays a pounding bass that really stands out on “Past The Tear”, one of the bands originals, and also provides the perfect back-up vocals to Schneider with just the right octaves. Mike Delgado is absolutely amazing on lead guitar. Check out his guitar solos and I am sure images of the great Eddie VanHalen and Steve Vai come to mind when you see Mike’s style. Matt Bent is also amazing behind the drums. He moves the drumsticks so fast around the drum set it’s all a big blur but with each thump of the bass drum and crash of the symbol you can hear the talent that Matt brings to the percussions. I was also amazed at how much Matt and Mike played off of one another and how synced they both were. An obvious example of this is in the song “Subside” which is another original of the band.

The Fish Tank Mafia can not be missed! I am sure these guys will be signed sooner rather than later. So consider yourself warned and go and catch these guys before they start touring the country!

The Fish Tank Mafia will be playing at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ on New Year’s Day, Saturday Jan. 1st!
